Responsibilities

Owning user research

  • Lead and develop Numiko's user research practice across projects.
  • Establish research methods, templates, tools, consent procedures, and data-handling processes.

  • Contribute to research proposals, pitches, talks, blog posts, and webinars.

Shaping the user experience

  • Turn research findings into practical design recommendations.

  • Present research findings and recommendations clearly.
  • Use research evidence to help clients make informed decisions.
  • Work with clients across universities, museums, charities, and public organisations.
  • Challenge assumptions and help clients improve their understanding of user research.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience leading research projects or developing research practices within a team.
  • A portfolio showcasing research processes, decision-making, and project impact.
  • Experience with interviews, surveys, usability testing, and card sorting.
  • Knowledge of information architecture, journey mapping, and wireframing.
  • Ability to turn qualitative and quantitative research into strategic recommendations.
  • Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Understanding of accessibility and inclusive research practices.
  • Strong critical thinking and the confidence to challenge assumptions constructively.
  • Excellent professional references.
