About the role

Neocoast is looking for a Product Designer to help design and improve digital products for its international clients.

The role covers the complete product design process, from understanding the problem and exploring possible solutions to creating interfaces, interactive prototypes and development-ready designs.

The company follows an AI-first design workflow. You will use Claude and other AI tools regularly to explore ideas, create prototypes, test concepts and move quickly from early designs to polished interfaces.

Neocoast wants someone with strong product judgement who understands that good design is about solving real problems, not simply creating attractive screens.

You will work directly with US-based clients and collaborate closely with Product Managers, developers and QA specialists. You will also contribute to improving the company's design processes, templates and use of AI.

Experience in educational technology (EdTech) is an advantage, but the company places greater importance on practical design ability, communication and the quality of your decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Own the design of client products from discovery and problem understanding through implementation and handoff.
  • Translate product requirements documents (PRDs), user flows and business objectives into wireframes and high-fidelity designs.
  • Create interactive prototypes to test ideas and validate user experiences.
  • Use Claude and other AI tools to explore design concepts, build prototypes and speed up design iterations.
  • Build and maintain design systems, including reusable components, variants, design tokens and documentation.
  • Present design work to clients, collect feedback and translate it into actionable improvements.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, developers and QA specialists throughout product development.
  • Review implemented features to ensure the final product reflects the intended design.
  • Contribute to improving Neocoast's design workflows, templates and AI-assisted design practices.
  • Make design decisions based on user needs, product goals and measurable outcomes.

Requirements

Applicants should demonstrate the following:

  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience as a Product Designer or UX/UI Designer in software development teams.
  • Experience working on digital products that have actually been shipped.
  • Strong product thinking and the ability to understand problems before proposing solutions.
  • Good visual design skills, including typography, layout, hierarchy and interaction design.
  • Experience building and maintaining design systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma, including Auto Layout, components, variables and prototyping.
  • Practical experience using Claude or similar AI tools in the design process.
  • Ability to create interactive prototypes and rapidly test design ideas.
  • Enough technical understanding to discuss implementation feasibility, interface states and edge cases with developers.
  • Ability to deliver clear, development-ready design handoffs.
  • Advanced written and spoken English.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain design decisions to US-based clients.

Additional advantages:

  • Experience designing educational technology products.
  • Familiarity with Webflow.
  • Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
  • Ability to create code-based prototypes using HTML, React or AI-assisted development tools.

Benefits

Neocoast's careers website highlights the following company benefits and workplace opportunities:

  • Flexible working arrangements.
  • English-language class support.
  • Team-building activities and experiences.
  • Free gym membership.
  • Lunch allowance.
  • Discounts on selected services and activities.
