About the Role

Engine is hiring a Senior Technical Product Manager to lead important areas of its technology platform.

In this role, you will work with engineering teams, internal product teams, business stakeholders, and customers to build reliable platform capabilities. Key Responsibilities

1. Own Product Strategy and Delivery

• Develop the strategy and roadmap for your assigned platform area.
• Manage the product lifecycle from requirements gathering through launch and adoption.
• Take ownership of product outcomes and continuous improvement.

2. Define and Measure Success

• Translate customer and partner needs into clear technical requirements.
• Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for adoption, reliability, and platform performance.
• Use data and customer feedback to guide product decisions.

3. Work Closely with Engineering Teams

• Understand system architecture, APIs, and technical trade-offs.
• Collaborate with engineers to make informed product decisions.
• Identify opportunities to use AI to make platform capabilities more intelligent and reliable.

4. Balance Priorities

• Make decisions between long-term technical investments and immediate business needs.
• Prioritise features based on customer value, revenue impact, and platform reliability.
• Help teams focus on the work that delivers the greatest results.

5. Collaborate Across Teams

• Work with product, engineering, data, and business teams.
• Explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Keep customer needs in focus throughout the product development process.

Requirements and Qualifications

Engine is looking for candidates with the following experience and skills:

• Product management experience: At least five years of professional product management experience.
• Technical knowledge: Ability to understand complex systems and discuss architecture and technical trade-offs with engineers.
• Analytical skills: Experience using SQL, defining KPIs, and working with experimentation or data-driven decision-making.
• AI product experience: Experience shipping LLM-based tools or machine-learning-related products into production.
• Strategic thinking: Ability to turn unclear problems into well-defined plans and product roadmaps.
• Decision-making: Confidence to make difficult prioritisation decisions and explain them clearly.
• Customer focus: Ability to balance technical complexity with the needs of end users.

Experience in travel technology, marketplaces, or fintech is a strong advantage.
