About the role

Qore Technologies Limited is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to contribute to the design, development, testing and deployment of its software products.

The successful candidate will work across both frontend and backend systems, developing applications that are scalable, reliable and easy to maintain. Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Design, develop and deploy application features and product enhancements.
• Build and maintain scalable backend applications using one or more technologies such as .NET, Java, Python and Node.js.
• Develop responsive and user-friendly interfaces using React, Angular, jQuery and other relevant web technologies.
• Create and integrate RESTful APIs with databases and external services.
• Optimise application performance and troubleshoot technical problems.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate designs into functional interfaces.
• Ensure applications work correctly across browsers and devices.
• Contribute to system architecture and end-to-end application design.
• Conduct software testing, participate in code reviews and maintain high coding standards.
• Work with containers, messaging services and cloud technologies to improve system scalability and reliability.
• Prepare technical documentation and application operating procedures.
• Participate in Scrum activities and collaborate with engineering teams.
• Investigate application failures, identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Contribute to open-source projects and stay informed about emerging technologies and industry best practices.

Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• At least four years of relevant software engineering experience, preferably within fintech, banking or financial services.
• Proficiency in at least two server-side programming languages, such as Java, .NET, Python or Node.js.
• Knowledge of frontend technologies and frameworks such as React, Angular, jQuery, HTML and CSS.
• A solid understanding of RESTful API design and integration.
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience in system design and architecture, including building scalable and reliable applications.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerisation approaches.
• Experience building and maintaining complex applications.
• Demonstrated involvement in open-source projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and collaborate effectively with a team.

Experience in a fast-paced startup or scale-up environment will be an added advantage.
