About the role

Nuvana HQ, a business technology consultancy based in Nairobi, Kenya, is inviting applications for its Frontend Development Internship.

The company develops Nuvana Business, a multi-tenant retail Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform for small and medium-sized businesses in Kenya. It also builds websites, e-commerce platforms and enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions for clients.

As a Frontend Development Intern, you will join the engineering team and contribute to real products, company websites and client projects. The position provides practical development experience, exposure to production systems and an opportunity to secure a permanent role with the company.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver assigned frontend tasks according to technical specifications and deadlines.
• Build and maintain company websites, including nuvanahq.co.ke and nuvana-business.co.ke.
• Apply SEO best practices to websites and web pages.
• Collaborate with the engineering team on database-connected features and API integrations.
• Provide regular written progress updates on assigned tasks.
• Follow established coding standards and development practices.
• Participate in code reviews and implement feedback before deployment.
• Contribute to frontend development across internal products and client projects.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of Nuxt.js or Vue.js.
• Experience with Tailwind CSS and consistent interface styling.
• Good understanding of Git, including branches, pull requests and resolving conflicts.
• Knowledge of SEO fundamentals, including meta tags, structured data, sitemaps and page speed optimisation.
• A GitHub profile or portfolio showcasing accessible development projects.
